Thought i would post up the info page on Uwarie lots of info here about wht they offer and i noticed some one mentioned haveing a gun section they have a very nice rifle and pistol outdoor range so adds a litle spice to the mix and the Out Post just down the road has good food and if you are going to trail ride you have to get your pass there:hat:

Thanks Bum! I have not made it over there yet, & wondered about a few things.
Seems like my idea of combining wheeling with camping may be realized. Nice to find out about the range too. I need to look into that further. Do you know if it is allowed to have firearms while camping & wheeling?

there is a shooting range at URE, but I don't know the specifics of where the firearms are allowed within the park

Thanks Earl, I will find out about that before I go there. That may not be till spring though, busy at work until Jan. 1st.

Yall let me know when yall go to URE and we will go together I haul my Blazer where ever I go ridding. The Blazer has been there and still has the pass on the windshield. I went when it had a stock rear end and would like to go back now that I have a mini-spool in it and the snorkel. If somone drives their offroader up there and needs a place to stay I have a nice pop-up camper that is light and easy to haul.

There are several guys that go to the Zuwarie get tpgether in the fall and spring and will wheel fri sat and then shoot sunday no problem with the fire arms as long as they are legal and cssed untill you get to the range would not ridee around like John Wayne or Dirty Harry . it is not covered but has concrete benches at each station .and goes out 100 yards it is a live range and if you go the sight I posted up on Uwarie you will find some in fo on it. There are pistol and rifle lanes

There is camping on the trail as well as about 30 or so hard stand sights you have to go to the park service sight to reserve those there is not elc. or water at each sight. but thee are showers

The wilderness trail areas are really nice they are usually marked by having a fire ring no fire except in those they also have group camp s we of the Zu rent all of those for our event can get around 100 or more people in there we will be there Halloween for our get together

It is a great time i must say

As far as i know you are allowed to have what ever firearms you want as long as they are treated like any other public place ( like licenced or handled the same)

You can camp anywhere off the trail but fires are only allowed in certian marked areas, like always no drugs or alcohol.

Mind your own business and you will have no problems, i have drank out there but on the down low. like a night cap not all day haha

My buddy and i plan on taking his new AR-15 out to the shooting range :dita:

but im right down the road from the place like 20min so if anyone needs someone to kick it with, show them around im here !!!!!

when you want to go please let me know. i will go. as far as shooting guns, there is an outside range about 30 mins away. we go about once a month i will let you know next time we go.

I won't be able to go real soon, Bryan. Busy season at work until Jan.1st, & need to be available for last minute weekend overtime.
Still need to do mods yet as well. That's gonna happen after tax return.
May be able to do sooner, we'll have to get together & discuss.
